Together with Journee, Mercedes-Benz Trucks presented an immersive virtual experience featuring their eMobility ecosystem at the heart of their booth at IAA Transportation this year.
Introducing 'Truckopolis': An Immersive Exploration of Logistics Innovation
Entitled 'Truckopolis’,this engaging virtual experience offers a fully interactive, impactful exploration of the integrated service ecosystem of Mercedes-Benz Trucks, as well as the battery electric truck eActros 600.
In collaboration with Scholz & Friends Berlin, Journee, and NSYNK - Gesellschaft für Kunst und Technologie, Mercedes-Benz Trucks has crafted a near-future environment where visitors can freely explore and discover the latest technologies and services.
At the heart of 'Truckopolis' stands a high-definition 3D model of the eActros 600, allowing visitors to appreciate every inch of its design in crisp detail. As they explore, they can also learn more about the TruckCharge charging stations and over 20 other services.
A Witty Guide to Cutting-Edge Technology: Meet H.O.R.S.T.
Guided by H.O.R.S.T. (the 'Hyper Organized Remote Servicebot for Trucks'), a witty flying robot host, visitors can explore Mercedes-Benz Trucks' latest features and innovations through interactive video displays, information cards, and audio snippets. This virtual guide helps visitors navigate the world of sustainable logistics in an engaging and informative way.
Take a Scenic Drive Through 'Truckopolis'
After exploring the internal environment, visitors are invited to take one of three scenic drives through the city of 'Truckopolis’, where they learn more about Mercedes-Benz Trucks’ role in key industries like long-haul transportation, urban distribution, and construction. Each route offers a unique perspective on how the eActros 600 helps shape the future of sustainable transportation.
Hybrid Access for Maximum Engagement
'Truckopolis' is accessible as both an in-browser experience on mobile, tablet, and desktopand as a full VR experience for Meta Quest 3 at IAA Transportation 2024 in Hanover. This hybrid approach ensures that Mercedes-Benz Trucks fans, customers, and industry professionals can all participate and explore the virtual world.
